You got more rabbit than sainsburys…

(bonus points for those of you who know where the title of this post comes from)

I am really pleased to see that the Peach team (who are producing an animated movie using entirely Open Source tools, specifically Blender, and licensing all the content under a free license) have released their first official trailer of their new flick:

Big Buck Bunny – Official Trailer from Andy Goralczyk on Vimeo.

They are doing an incredible job over there, and I can’t wait to see the final version. This just goes to show that Open Source is not only an incredible collaborative environment, but a real enabler for creativity too. Good stuff. :)

LugRadio Live USA 2008 – win some swag

The organisation for LugRadio Live USA 2008 on the 12th and 13th April at The Metreon in San Francisco continues apace, and I wanted to remind everyone that you can win one of these:

Asus EEEPC Sub-Notebook

…or one of these…

Neuros OSD Media Center

…as well as a bunch of O’Reilly books and some limited edition LugRadio t-shirts, which look like this…

Gorkon, a LugRadio fan shows off the new t-shirt, having won it on the show

Simply encourage people to come to LugRadio Live USA 2008, get them to pre-register and enter your name in the referrer box when they pre-register. The person with the great number of people mentioning their names as the referrer will win either the Asus EEEPC or the Nauros OSD, Two O’Reilly books and a LugRadio t-shirt. Everyone who mentions the name of the winner also wins an O’Reilly book and a LugRadio t-shirt. The runner up wins either the Asus EEPC or Neuros OSD that is left and a LugRadio t-shirt. :)

So…go and pre-register!
