		<description>&lt;p&gt;Not sure which version of Virtualbox ships with Jaunty. If you have a recent enough one, you can enable the OpenGL passthrough, and get full visual effects in the VM with hardware acceleration tunnelled straight to the real graphics hardware. I think that appeared in Vbox 2.2.4? Or maybe only 3.0 for Linux guests...&lt;/p&gt;

		<description>&lt;p&gt;Thanks for the tip on the resolution - I&#039;d also set up a Karmic virtual machine recently and had problems with the guest additions method. Now I&#039;ve used the native support from the Ubuntu repository as you suggested and am happy!&lt;/p&gt;
