Albert, I pick tools that allow me to get the best results for the job I want to do. This is why I use Ubuntu as my OS, Firefox as my browser, OpenOffice.org as my productivity suite and Python as my programming language.

In terms of audio engineering, right now I can get better results with Cubase. The main reasons being hardware support and audio compression.

This is not for want of trying - I started a full project for creating an alternative for Linux called Jokosher (http://www.jokosher.org/), but right now I can get better results with Cubase.

This does not mean I am any less committed to Ubuntu or less able to do my job.

It's quite disturbing to know that the Ubuntu Community manager doesn't use Ubuntu or even Linux to produce something as simple as a podcast. Come on Jono, if you were doing high quality video special effects I would understand, but this is a freakin' podcast!!! The Ubuntu Community manager can't be troubled to use Ubuntu Linux for a simple ass podcast! Holy crap! Do you feel any shame at all? Do you have any concept as to how this looks to the "COMMUNITY"? In the future, could you at least lie and say you do it all with Linux. Please.... Thank-You!
